Team βeta is a group of students from Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, CT, who promote science and technology to their community, and participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition and the CT Electrathon Challenge. They also engage in astronomical research and education at the John J. McCarthy observatory, and host the CT Tech Fest. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics is an organization whose mission is to inspire young people to be leaders in science and technology. FIRST allows students worldwide to further their knowledge in science and technology.
Team Beta will be competing in the FIRST Connecticut Regional Competition on Friday March 29th and Saturday March 30th. The event is free and open to the public – come on out and see us in action. Click here to learn more about the CT Regional Competition
