Team βeta is  a group of students from Nonnewaug High School in Woodbury, CT, who promote science and technology to their community, and participate in the FIRST Robotics Competition and the CT Electrathon Challenge.  We also engage in astronomical research and education at the John J. McCarthy observatory.

FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics is an organization whose mission is to inspire young people to be leaders in science and technology. FIRST allows students worldwide to further their knowledge in science and technology.

Team Beta meets each Wednesday and Thursday at Woodbury Middle School in the Cafeteria from 7-9pm, and one day after school at Nonnewaug High School in room 114 (the Physics Room) from 2:30 – 4:00 pm during the fall and spring.

During Robot Build Season you can find Team Beta hard at work at WMS from 6:00-9:30 pm Monday through Thursday, and Sundays 1:30 to 6:30 pm
